My great-great-greatgrandfather Rev. William J. Coder (born about 1785), a Methodist minister, migrated from Pennsylvania to Mason County (resided near Havana) in 1837. He preached as an Elder in the Sagamon District and performed marriages in Mason County. He died in Mason County in December 1841. I have his estate inventory but no burial record or will. I have no record of his wife's name. He is mentioned in several Mason County Histories, but little family information is given.

His sons, with him in Mason County, were:
David J. Coder born 1812 PA
Elisha B. Coder born 1820 PA
Darius L. Coder born 1823 PA
Nelson H. Coder, born about 1828, PA, died Mason County July 1840. Burial place unknown

David J. Coder married Mary Elizabeth Faulkner in Mason County in 1841. They moved to Indiana, then Missouri.

Elisha B. Coder married Eliza Willard Faulkner in Mason County in 1845. Elisha, a county doctor, moved to Logan county before 1850.

William may also have had a daughter Rachel Coder, who married Robert Faulkner.

I would like to know his place of burial. Estate records were filed in 1842. I also do not know the name of Rev. William's wife, nor do I have name for 1 of his 7 sons. William has been my "brick wall" for many years.
